Dolphin Beach first opened its doors in 1993 and since then it has become a favourite holiday destination for many. One of the reasons for this is our gorgeous onsite seafood restaurant, Blowfish. We are here to tell you all about Blowfish at Dolphin Beach.

Blowfish Restaurant is known for its fresh seafood, delicious sushi, and glorious views of Table Mountain, Cape Town, and the ocean. Blowfish and Dolphin Beach Hotel has been working side-by-side since 2001, when the restaurant opened its doors. Blowfish is attached to Dolphin Beach and welcomes hotel guests as warmly as it does outside guests. Hotel guests can, in fact, take their breakfast in Blowfish’s conservatory in the mornings. What better way to start the morning than a warm cup of coffee and a relaxing picture of sea, city, and nature!

Blowfish has something for everyone on its menu. Our catch-of-the-day is always fresh – be sure to ask your waiter about what is available on the day! Our sushi chef, JJ, is always ready to create the best sushi. We offer classic sushi, like California Rolls, Fashion Sandwiches, and Roses, as well as our own specialities, like Kuro Salmon Rolls, Zebra Rolls, and Queen Rolls. For those who aren’t fans of seafood, we have non-seafood dishes as well. And who can forget our excellent drinks menu – the cocktails are well worth a try!

And for those who would like to learn more about the art of sushi-making, we offer sushi workshops where you can do it yourself. This 2-hour class will be spent learning how to make the classics, like Nigiri, Maki Rolls, and Sashimi. The workshop requires a minimum of 10 people, so this makes it perfect for a birthday celebration, team building exercise, or friendly get-together!
